Making of Adhi's Imagination Land

Some of you may already know about my latest online portfolio named Imagination Land.

But since in AdhiBuddy Illustrations it's all about the drawings, I put on the podium the before and afters of my introductory and home page of the website.

Again the main base lines I project by the fine lines of a pen, which then I used photoshop to enhance.

I wanted to show that my work is different of the market by using the concept of a meteor crash. Where new substances from an unknown place makes an impact in the world. But here I shown that the meteor contains an unknown substance of imagination.

Same with the Home page, I used a pen to illustrate the main outcome of my concept as I prefer a more hands-on approach, and also using photoshop to apply the final touches. Here I show that the meteor crashes and out flies all the different aspect of me as a designer.

The Happy Joyful Rabbit

This is my work in relation to a theme made in special request by the happy joyful rabbit (true name will remain anonymous for his/her personal reasons.) So the story is about the struggle against the forces of business. Where hard work and determination paid off in the end. The rabbit is one of the symbols of the Zodiac. So I tried to reflect this by setting the business feel and incorporating main interest and love into the blending details. Object to Change

To those who have been wondering where I been, I will tell you now. I went to sleep and embarked on a long expedition to the other side of the world, I tore out a part of the journal I kept on this journey and decided to share it with you. Good morning once again to the early birds.

"Day 256: I was continuing my expedition deeper in the the jungle when I found a peculiar little artifact. The villagers told me I shouldn't touch it as this particular forest is known for powers unheard of by the modern society. As I am a fool for the untouchables I took it into my possession.

Day 263: My health is deteriorating. I feel a certain change in me that my words can't seem to explain. I must be tired from all the trekking. Or maybe it was all the sprouts I ate.

Day 361: A year has passed and it is safe to say I have covered ground and sky to this point. The friends I made, the mountains I climbed and the artifacts I found. But one artifact has truly knocked me off my feet. Certain amount of days ago I found this artifact, a certain amount of days ago I felt a remarkable change in me, and now it is also safe to say that I have changed. Literally. I am now a part of the diary I wrote, splashed by ink and carved into the liking of this magical artifact. This is my last entry. As now I found the one place I want to be. My favorite kind of drawing would be making collages of images together. In this case, I drew out what represented a certain part in my life. The work may not be so obvious as the purpose is to act as a catalyst for your imagination. There is a story told, the clue is it starts with the devil holding a book saying 'Once Upon a Time' happy imagining!

Dreams of Childhood Stories

I wonder sometimes if we will ever dream like we did when we were young, when we went to sleep knowing that the world was made out of super heroes and the bad tyrannosaurus rex. Just falling asleep in your bed not knowing what the open world has to offer. Whether we meet a giant spaceman, a decisive battle at the colosseum or an adventurous journey across the ocean. Sometimes I wish when I place a story book down and close my eyes, that a giant space shuttle of dreams just fly me away across the wide emptiness of space. Today's dreams on the other hand seems to be more mature, not that we want it but our surroundings are what affects our brainwaves everyday. Maybe i'll close off all reality, and read my story book once more.

It's Your World

What's that one place where you can call home? A house built by concrete and sticks? Or a place where you can run around free and be yourself? I close my eyes, develop a home beyond me and walk into it. The one place where you can always truly free. Your mind, is a sanctuary, but only when taken care of. Take care of what you believe, as corruption will tweak the pure oasis in your head. Everything happens around us, but whether we choose to be manipulated by our surroundings, it's completely up to you. Whether you want to lose what you once were capable of developing, it's up to you. Personally for me, its never too late, just close your eyes once more and develop a home beyond your own. Fly free and be free for the rest of your life.

Astronomical Prediction

On the way to hell I prepared every bit of water I had left. Took out my check list and ticked off everything i needed; didn't want to leave an important asset especially when my destination is a destroyed wonderland. Ticking off the important I swallowed a lump of dry spit as the old speaker announces the time of lift off with its old smokers voice. Lets double check. First thing on my list: a watch for knowledge, as without my watch it would be the first healthy step to insanity. I love losing it but not in a place where having your mind is an advantage. Second item: a gun with two bullets for murder and suicide in-case the murder happens to fail. Harsh world. The last thing on my list: my packed lunch in-case I get hungry. I get really hungry, why? I don't know. Maybe its all the anger and misery there. Anyway I decided to kneel down and touch the ground; it's not hot or full of broken buildings so I was cherishing the state of peace at my current location. I thought to my self why didn't we as humans see this coming? All our hate and lack of attention has built to one big giant monster and I can tell technology has a lot to do with it from the big bolted ribs to the evil laser eyes. Corruption has successfully changed us all into not caring about the normality this world has. So since our fate is chosen, I decided to type in an astronomical prediction in our beloved advanced technology screen. The required password 'OASIS' I don't even know why they chose that word anymore. So the great prediction was in front of my eyes, what to predict? I entered: future/ present time/ once upon a time. Waited as it loaded, taking a deep breath and suddenly thinking whether I even want to know. Appearing a letter at a time in its blinking neon green color, appeared the words: self detonation is massive'. Sigh... I know. We all live in a world where many don't care, only a little. Just look at the past, observe our present and think about the future. That I believe is the only way to change. Or else, the big giant corporations and governments would end up being that big giant monster destroying everything we got while planes of innocent bystanders flying by accepting it as the norm. Maybe one day, who knows.
