Thinking Thoughts

Good morning everyone! In 'Thinking Thoughts' I share my mind and feeling to you. An art and design view of the world from me.

I lived my life from young knowing that I love to draw. Thinking and wondering about things had always tickled my brain waves. So I wondered about life and tried different sort of mediums as a way of self expression. So while I dipped into the paint and the charcoal, I realized that the taste of ink has came to me more then the others. The fine lines of a pen and it's control has allowed me to take my time in projecting what I think to what I see. It is my favorite way to look down on my canvas and watch the next part of the drawing come to life. A great feeling that RELEASES the clearance of the mind.

From back in school I have always loved to express my emotions through illustration (some of you may actually remember these from the classrooms) and I am happy to say that my passion for creation still lives. For me it is a way to put my mind at peace as everything goes away when the focus is laid to something that allows for self expression. Don't forget to  do what you love no matter how many levels of concentration you put into, because it enriches your soul when you make it smile. So I hope through my illustrations I can share to you my thoughts and emotions. Whether it is to your advantage to see my work in your hands or just provide a happy brain treatment from visualizing my drawings.

Inspirations.

Visualizing work from great artists can truly inspire and broaden our horizon.

I have visualized the work of Alex Grey (www.alexgrey.com) and his work has truly touched my heart and threw it in the air.

The moment I saw his work, I realized the great detail and feelings he had put into. For example, his painting for 'love', has been expressed in ways that we can actually see and feel the emotion projected. I would say that I am very impressed on how he could project such imagination onto the canvas. An amazing artist.

The next inspiring artist would be JAMES JEAN (www.jamesjean.com)

My love and I were walking around Orchard, Singapore, when we stumbled upon this really cool shop. They sold random stuff like 'Jack in the Box' all the way to books you wouldn't usually see in bookstores. Among these interesting things was a set of postcards made by James Jean. On each postcard was one of his artwork. Truly to say that he has a great way of translating his imagination onto the canvas. I surfed around his site and saw some of the processes he goes through to complete his work and it's safe to say I almost use the same technique as him, a fusion of illustration and Photoshop, but he has a more widen skills and thought which I am definitely inspired by. Truly amazing artist. I love how he creates a fusion of illustration and imagination to create a final overall feel.

So I hope you like my work. Maybe find something that makes you smile, make your heart smile. Have a good day and hope to see you again soon!
